FULL-BODY MRI SCREENING
What is Full-Body MRI Screening?
Our whole-body MRI screening is primarily designed for early cancer detection, it can also identify other significant health conditions, including:
Neurological abnormalities: Such as brain lesions or spinal cord issues.
Musculoskeletal issues: Including joint problems or soft tissue abnormalities.
Vascular abnormalities: Such as aneurysms or blood vessel irregularities.
Liver and kidney findings: Including fatty liver, cysts, or other structural irregularities.
Adrenal or pancreatic masses: Incidental findings of non-cancerous growths or abnormalities in endocrine organs.
Signs of inflammation or infection: Subtle indications of conditions such as abscesses or localized inflammation.
Lymphatic system changes: Enlarged lymph nodes or other irregularities that may warrant further investigation.
These incidental findings, while secondary to cancer detection, can provide valuable insights into your overall health and may inform further evaluation if necessary.

Benefits of Full-Body MRI Screening
Early Detection of Disease
Full-Body MRI can detect early signs of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders before symptoms appear. By identifying potential issues at an early stage, it enhances the chances for successful treatment and intervention.Radiation-Free Imaging
This MRI-based screening avoids ionizing radiation, making it a safer choice for people concerned about radiation exposure or those requiring regular health monitoring.Note: If there is concern for pulmonary nodules, a Low-Dose CT Screening of the chest may be recommended for more detailed imaging.
Detailed, High-Resolution Imaging
MRI provides high-resolution images that reveal even subtle abnormalities, allowing for a more accurate assessment of organs, tissues, and other structures.Whole-Body Assessment in One Session
A Full-Body MRI examines multiple organs and body parts in one comprehensive scan, which can be more efficient and convenient than scheduling separate scans for different areas.Peace of Mind and Proactive Health Management
Full-Body MRI screening can give you peace of mind, knowing you’re proactively managing your health. Many people choose it as part of their annual health check-up.No Downtime or Recovery Period
MRI scans are non-invasive and do not require recovery time, so patients can resume daily activities immediately after the scan
What You Should Know About Whole-Body MRI Screening
This test is focused on the early detection of cancer. While other findings may be identified, such discoveries are incidental and secondary to the primary purpose of the scan.
Is Full-Body MRI Screening Right for You?
Whole-body MRI screening is a proactive health assessment tool designed for individuals seeking early detection of potential health concerns, especially cancer. It is not intended to diagnose specific symptoms or replace targeted diagnostic testing. If you are experiencing specific symptoms, we recommend consulting your physician to determine the most appropriate diagnostic tests and care for your needs.
Full-Body MRI Screenings are offered at Radiology Associates Twin Lakes and Radiology Associates Town Center.
